2026 Theme: Transferring the Vision

From the Pastor’s Desk
Scripture: John 17:6–10 (NRSV/ESV)
“I have made your name known to those whom you gave me from the world… Now they know that everything you have given me is from you.” — John 17:6–7
Beloved Family,
We are living in a sacred moment—not a pause, not an ending, but a transfer. In John 17, Jesus prays what is often called His High Priestly Prayer. What makes this prayer so powerful is that it is not about crowds, miracles, or public moments—it is about legacy, responsibility, and continuity.
Jesus declares, “I have made Your name known… I have given them the words You gave Me.” In other words, nothing was hoarded—everything was handed down.
This is what it means to transfer the vision.
Vision is never meant to die with one leader. It is meant to live in the people. Jesus understood that His earthly assignment would not last forever, but the mission would. So, He invested deeply, taught intentionally, and trusted faithfully those whom God had given Him. He didn’t just lead them—He prepared them.
As your Pastor, I want you to know that this season is about ensuring that what God planted here continues to grow stronger, wiser, and more impactful for generations to come. The same God who gave the vision is the God who sustains it. The same truth that built this ministry is the truth that will carry it forward.
This is not about personalities—it is about purpose.
This is not about position—it is about obedience.
This is not about one voice—it is about many witnesses.
Jesus says in verse 10, “All mine are yours, and yours are mine; and I have been glorified in them.” The glory of God is revealed when His people are prepared to carry what He has entrusted to them.
Let us walk together in unity, faith, and trust—knowing that God is faithful to complete what He has begun.
With gratitude, prayer, and confidence in God’s future,
Reverend Dr. James J. Minnick, Senior Pastor
